I keep on coming back to the computer because I'm desperately bored. I love teaching but I hate correcting, especially comps. And at the moment I have this enormous pile on my table. Any ideas on how to make this task a bit less arduous:mad:?

Maybe, everybody passed the exam and we all go out for the biggest party in the world... ;)
I'm studying all day, so I get bored from time to time. This forum helps me to get on with Spanish baroque poetry.

What's that?

I think Poli means gongorismos which are not the best way to correct an English composition, but it's not impossible.

To correct an English composition...You have my permission to hate me.:)

Thanks a lot for your correction, Iris! I've already edited it. I'm not hating anybody, for the moment ;). I'm learning a lot with your corrections!

Hey Iris,
like Alfonso suggested, pass everybody and no one will hate you at least not your students and any way not right away. :D

Have fun with it!

Make it a class project and have them correct each other's composition. Bring a treat. Get them all involved. Have them read a few. It can be a lot of fun!!

My father was a teacher, and he always corrected Saturday afternoon, seeing a western.
Look for a movie with no dialogues/plot and see it while correcting.
But sometimes my father laugh hard because some students writed dummy things.
greetings :D

I know I shouldn't, but I laugh myself sometimes too. But I cannot correct and do something else at the same time. My sister used to watch the telly while she studied, I never understood how she managed it.

Iris, you could scan them into the computer and then we could help you with the corrections, then you just print them out again and you´re done :D (Or maybe that's overly complicated).

It would feel too cheeky...But thanks all the same.;)
