carretera - feminine noun (la) - highway. Look up carretera in the dictionary (http://www.tomisimo.org/dictionary/spanish_english/carretera)

Los baches en la carretera son muy peligrosos.
Potholes in the highway are very dangerous.

Here is the correct way to write what you posted:

The highways in my country have a lot of potholes, and I've used these highways extensively in this year. They're dangerous.

carreteras = highways
A plural subject needs a plural form of the verb (have instead of has).
The contraction it're doesn't exist. You should have used they're (they are) instead, because the subject (highways) is plural and so is its pronoun (they).

Of course she does, even robots have feelings and these days they can do just about anything. And, that includes defending themselves.:lightning:
