-My friend has promised to meet me here.
If I want to use a noun, how should I rephrase the whole sentence? I know APPOINTMENT/DATE, but they don't fit.
eg My friend and I have an ___.

My friend and I have a date scheduled (without scheduled the word date has a romantic implication)
My friend and I have an appointment to meet tomorrow.
:good:Less formally and perhaps more commonly: My friend and I plan to get together tomorrow.
