This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word (http://daily.tomisimo.org/) for October 20, 2008

abanico - masculine noun (el) - fan. Look up abanico in the dictionary (http://www.tomisimo.org/dictionary/spanish_english/abanico)

Cuando hace mucho calor, puedes usar un abanico para refrescarte.
When it's really hot, you can use a fan to cool down.
