I teach my neice, who is home schooled, Spanish. We have started on a Spanish 2 book, but it is different than the first one. I cannot find some of the words anywhere to determine what they mean in order to translate this sentence:

Dime con quien andas y te dire (with an accent mark on the "e")quien eres.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. As I stated, some of these words I cannot find to define nor have they been introduced in the previous book.

Thanks,

AngieNC

Dime and diré both come from the verb decir. Dime means tell me and diré means I will tell you. These are conjugations of decir (http://www.spanishverbmachine.com/?verb=decir). Andas is a conjugation of andar (to walk, to be) and eres is a conjugation of ser (to be)

Dime con quien andas y te diré quien eres
Tell me with whom you walk and I will tell you who you are. (literal)
Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are. (meaning)

BTW, welcome to the forums. :)
