Mala Suerte!
People,
I have just read the term "mala suerte" in a book translated from English into Spanish. Does this term exist, or does one have to say "azar." I know that in Portuguese, "mala suerte/ma sorte" is a very ignorant thing to say, a real contradiction in terms. Of course, Spanish is a different language. Anyway, thanks in advance, Silopanna Dean  |
mala suerte = bad luck
azar = chance al azar = at random por azar = by chance |
In Spanish, "mala suerte" simply means "bad luck". "Al azar" means "randomly".

Rusty and Tomissimo,
I would like to thank you both for the prompt replies, quicker than I would have imagined. It is all very clear now. Silopanna |
