This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for July 14, 2008
pastilla - feminine noun (la) - pill, tablet, bar. Look up pastilla in the dictionary Tómate tus pastillas para que no te vuelvas a enfermar. Take your pills so you won't get sick again. |
Some countries (Argentina por ejemplo) call them comprimidos.

For non-native English speakers. it might be good to know that pill
can mean a person who is a real bore. Maybe it's equivalent of mosca cojonera although that sounds a little bit vulgar. I think a person who is pill = Una person que es una postema. |

Aqui se usa mucho. Por ejemplo:
"Vamos al cine con tal de que termines de asemblar el mueble." ¡no seas una postema! |

Postema suena muy cómico porque en realidad una postema es un abseso |
