Cutlets steak fillet

Can anybody put the different names for chuletas , filetes etc... Depending on the kind of meat?

JPablo April 18, 2013 12:20 PM

Lamb chops...

* Steaks are the most popular cut of meat to throw on a grill.
*Professional cleavers used for carcass and sectional cutting also work for chops and chickens.

*
Chump chops are reckoned to be the finest cuts of lamb, boneless and tender they are the perfect chop.

* Using meat mallet, pound each cutlet between sheets of plastic wrap until cutlets are slightly flattened.

* chuleta a la brasa = grilled steak.
* chuleta a la parrilla = grilled steak.
* chuleta de cerdo = chop, pork chop.
* chuleta de cordero = lamb chop.
* chuleta de ternera = beef steak.

When do we use divots?

Rusty April 20, 2013 04:47 PM

A divot is a piece of dirt or sod (usually created when golfing). It has nothing to do with cuts of meat.

chicken fillet
turkey fillet
fish fillet

Lamb and pork chops usually have a bone, since they are cut perpendicular to the spine.
A cutlet is a thinner and smaller cut than a chop. It can also contain a bone, unless it is formed from pieces of meat (like a fish cutlet).
