Idioms to share!
I have read this Idiom recently and would like to share it with those who are learning spanish like me. ;)
¿Quieren compartir unos que ya saben? Hoy oí un modismo gracioso. "Pedir peras al olmo" literally means "to ask the elm tree for pears" English Idiom Equivalentt: you're asking an impossible favour. :p "Buscarle tres pies al gato". Literal Translation: To look for three feet of the cat. English Idiom Equivalent: To go looking for trouble. but the one I have never got it is : " culo veo, culo deseo":blackeye::cool: if anyone have an explanation for it... Iam waiting for a reply :impatient: Gracias |
Perhaps you haven't noticed that we have an Idioms section. ;)
You'll find what you're looking for here, and the other two you mentioned above. |
