Traditional clothing for la nochebuena
 

I'm just wondering what kinds of traditional clothing do people wear on la nochebuena?

In spain, you need comfortable/loose clothes, to eat much at nochebuena's dinner :D
Usually we don't have special clothes. Do you wear special clothes on christmas eve or Thanksgiving??

In the US some families like to dress up in red and green--hence the term
decked out like a Christmas tree. (:shh:This is not a compliment)

As I remember as a little kid in Mexico we really don't wear any traditional clothings for nochebuena we just wear our favorite clothes or new clothes for the occasion but we do have traditions. This is an essentially family day, which begins with the las posada and ends with a delicious family dinner at midnight there are masses that are called Misa de Gallo. After dinner the adults exchange presents. Though it varies but I'm speaking it in general.

En Estados Unidos solo rojo o verde pero niente más. Sin embargo se es Santa Claus.
