Lo sigue siendo, aunque no secunde el psicoanálisis
 
Hola a todos,

La frase en cuestión es del libro Cuenta contigo de Patricia Ramírez Loeffler.

"No soy nada original si os digo que he leído la biografía y parte de la obra del psiquiatra Viktor Frankl. Lo hemos hecho casi to- dos los psicólogos. También leí, antes de empezar la carrera de Psicología, muchos libros de Freud. En aquel momento, cuando todavía era ajena a las terapias cognitivo-conductuales, Freud era fascinante. Lo sigue siendo, aunque no secunde el psicoanálisis. Recién salida del Colegio Alemán, pude disfrutar de ambos autores en su idioma natal, lo que permite comprender muchos detalles que a veces se pierden en las traducciones."

Am I correct in thinking that "Lo sigue siendo" refers to "Freud era fascinante", (i.e, Freud is still fascinate to me) and "aunque no secunde el psicoanálisis" refers to the author (i.e, although I don't support psychoanalisis)?

Yes. "He still is (was fascinating). The referent of 'lo' is in parentheses).

It's kind of difficult to say. It's too bad she didn't include the subject pronoun!
Freud is heralded as the founder of psychoanalysis, so I would have to agree that the referent is the author.

I agree. She finds Freud interesting , but she is not fond of psychoanalysis; she prefers cognitive behavioural therapies. :)
