To find someone

Hi everyone

If I want to say "To find someone" in the sense of finding a partner, can I say "Encontrar a alguien"? Or would I have to be more specific and say "Encontrar a un novio/ una novia"?

If the meaning you mentioned is understood by your listener, you don't have to specify.
