Sentirlo en carne propia
Sentirlo en carne propia significa que es como si algo te afecta directamente. ENGLISH?:blackeye:

To feel it in your bones.
|
I ususally think of "cold" as going with feeling it in my bones. Maybe something like "I've also been through it," or "I have lived through that myself."

To be "chilled to the bone" is one thing, but here "to feel it in one's bones"
is just right, I would think. |
I thought feel it in my bones was "tener una corazonada".
|
I think that "tener una corazonada" is more like "I've got a feeling or a hunch."
Where do you find all these idioms? I think we should add them all to the idiom dictionary. They are great. |
In fact, it´s idioms that I use, or I hear my mum use them.
|
sentirlo en carne propia = to experience it firsthand / to experience it oneself / to get a taste of something (firsthand) / to get a feel for something (firsthand)
Fue necesario sentirlo en carne propia para entenderlo. = He had to experience it firsthand to appreciate it. = He had to get a taste of it himself in order to appreciate it. = He had to experience it himself to understand it. |
Thanks again
