Do you mean those people who work in parking lots that you give the key to and they in turn give you a claim ticket?
If so, wouldn't the term be asistente de(l) parking (estacionamiento)?:thinking:

From the images I get in Google, I think Pjt has the right answer. :)

I googled meter maid and got agente de tránsito.

I don't think that's a phrase that I've ever heard in the peninsula.

That's rather for the Americas, of course. :)

One I've heard is - "¡Hijo de la Gran Bretaña!".
