Beauty Is in the Eye of the Beholder

It's a common saying in USA, but not is Spain.
You can use things like:
la belleza está en los ojos del observador
la belleza está en los ojos de quien la mira

and about tastes
sobre gustos no hay nada escrito ....
todo es según el color del cristal con que se mira

So... these are good translations for the phrase beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but they're not common, set phrases. No son frases hechas. ¿Correcto? :)

the two about tastes are "dichos", the first ones only adaptations.
