Linoleum and a few other words
Hola todos,
Do any of you know how to say linoleum? Which the dictionary here says linóleo, but I want to confirm that's right. The same goes for baseboard, grout, tile, if you could just confirm what the right words for these are. baseboard = moldadura, plinto, rodapié, zoclo grout = lechada tile = azulejo Muchísimas gracias! :) |
BINGO!! (4 of 4). I give the names of the common ones here
Linoleum (pavement): linóleo (pavimento de linóleo) baseboard = rodapié grout = lechada (other related term mortero: mortar) tile = walls:azulejo floor: baldosa roof:teja |
Is loseta ok for like floor tile as well?
|
loseta it's ok for floor (and sometimes for wall)
|
How about . . .
What about "losa," do they use that there to mean floor tile?
Y losa, se utiliza para decir "floor tile" allá? |
I say baldosa or baldosín
|
In some areas piso de losa means a tile floor. But be careful because loza means china (as in dishes), and in the Americas has the same pronunciation as losa.
