Is this used as highway shoulder in Latin America?
|
The only term I've seen used for highway shoulder in Mexico is acotamiento. Others may have more expertise in other countries.

In Spain we use "arcén".

En Guatemala y Panamá: "camellón". http://dle.rae.es/?id=6x8r5bZ|6x94DRB Saludos cordiales. |
En México, acotamiento is shoulder and camellón is the divider strip in the middle of a divided highway or boulevard.
|
Sí, Pablo y David: en México es "acotamiento" y un camellón divide por el centro una calle o avenida. :)
