“shut up I am doing the talking here!!!”
Interestingly enough, when I did a Google search for this, I only found 1 hit?!?
Yet, it seems to me, it is a "reaction" antagonic people, or angry or mad people would say, as "a matter of course". I would translate this like, "¡Cállate, aquí soy yo el que habla!" or "¡Cállate la boca, aquí el que habla soy yo!" Or other variants could go like "¡Cierra el pico...!" "¡Que te calles...!" Is there any other Spanish variants for such an outburst of anger? |

¡Silencio! ¡Aquí sólo hablo yo!
¡Callaos! ¡Aquí el único que habla soy yo! Saludos :D |
¡¡¡Gracias!!! :) :D
(Bueno, bueno, ya me callo, tampoco es para ponerse así...) ;) |
"Shut up I'm doing the talking here" is a long sentence considering it is usually shouted in anger or frustration. I Googled "Shut up! I'm talking" and got 395,000 hits. :)

Cierra tu hocico es yo que está encargo aquí.---does the es yo make sense in Spanish?

I wish to add to what LibraryLady said. Not only is it a long statement to be said in anger, but if one is wishing to engage in oratory due to one's anger (and thus be willing to speak such a long sentence) one is likely to add many expletives between one's words. As this is a family forum I won't provide specific examples but I'm certain you can guess at what I mean.
This, along with possible rephrasing, would account for a lower number of results in Google for your exact quote. However, that said, I believe it is quite accurate as is with a few small corrections: "Shut up! I'm doing the talking here." The "I'm" contraction in this case seems to flow much better than "I am" in my opinion. Either are of course correct. The real change I made was to turn it into two sentences. This was necessary for it to be correct (or perhaps a semi-colon, but I think an end of sentence works better). |

¡Cierra el hocico: el encargado aquí soy yo! Otra variante: ¡Cierra el morro: el que manda aquí soy yo!:) Quote:

The expressions people would use around me are "¡Cállate! (Aquí) Yo soy el que habla." or "¡Te callas! Aquí sólo hablo yo".
"¡Cierra el hocico!" is a bit too long for saying anything else. I'd use it rather to end a discussion... this is what you would normally tell a child who is constantly grumbling back at you as you scold him. |
