I was studying conditionals and wanted to say in Spanish, "If you know, you should tell me". I asked 3 people and they all said some form of "si lo sabes, deberías decirme" (some used the direct object 'lo', some didn't, not important). I then looked at the rules below and the 1st one is the only case that it would fit in because the first part of the sentence is in the present indicative. I was thinking it could be in the present subjunctive but I think I read that was only if something was very contrary to the ordinary and I don't see any rule regarding present subjunctive 'if' statements.

Primer caso: Una acción que no está realizada en el presente pero puede realizarse en el futuro.
Si tienes dinero, compra un coche
Si tengo dinero, compraré un coche.
Si tengo dinero, compro un coche.

SI + PRESENTE DE INDICATIVO + IMPERATIVO
FUTURO
PRESENTE DE INDICATIVO


Segundo caso: Una acción realizada en el pasado siempre que existía la misma condición (situación).
Tercer caso: Una acción que no es posible en el presente pero puede ser posible en el futuro.
Cuarto caso: Una acción que no sucedió, no ocurrió en el pasado pero expresamos que nos gustaría un resultado diferente.
