This is a discussion thread for the Daily Spanish Word for September 8, 2008

arroz - masculine noun (el) - rice. Look up arroz in the dictionary

El arroz es un alimento básico para gran parte del mundo.
Rice is a staple food for much of the world.

We have something alike here in Denmark (blodpølse; blood sausage). I haven't tasted it since I went to kindergarten. :(

There's also the Scottish Haggis and another word for it in Britain is black pudding.:)
