The Animakers Show

Hello people!

I am from Germany and we are releasing a new TV show called "Die Animakers Show" and we need to translate it to Spanish. Animakers is a brand name and doesn't need to be translated. The correct English translation is "The Animakers Show".

Google translation says in Spanish it should be: "El Animakers Show" - other tranlsation services say it's "El Show de Animakers" - but we are not sure if the translation is correct. Please be so kind and help us.

Thanks!
Hugo

El Animakers Show is very anglicized, but it is an Anglicism very commonly used in Latin America. El Show de Animakers is better grammatically.

I don't think either "translation" will work. To get it right we first need to know what an "animaker" is and whether "the animakers" is only a plural of it or has further meaning. Without that, what you got will work as fine as anything.

The "animakers" (plural) is an invented title for a group of people creating animated Infographic video clips, it could be compared to "moneymakers" for example.

So is "El Animakers Show" correct? We are also planning to run the show on Youtube. We already created several channels in Italian, German, English and French. The channel names are:

English:
The Animakers Show

German:
Die Animakers Show

French:
Le Animakers Show

Spanish:
El Animakers Show ? So my question is, would "El Animakers Show" fit and make sense for a Spanish speaking audience?

Thank you VERY much!

How about "El Show de los Animakers"?

We want the Spanish name to be as similar as possible to the names we chose for all the other languages. That's why we prefer "El Animakers Show" - the question is if the name is correct in Spanish, even though it's an Anglicism.

According to your description "El show de los Animakers" is the only valid option (notice the capitalization -I suppose they identify themselves as a group under that specific proprietary name, otherwise it's "animakers" as Spanish doesn't capitalize nouns as German does, nor it capitalizes each first letter in titles like English does). The rest are Spanglish and other idiomatic creatures without a known father.

But you know, freedom is free (starting with the public's).

Thank you very much aleCcowaN for your time and efforts! To be honest, we are still not sure weather to choose the Spanglish or Spanish, but you explained it very well to us and we appreciate it a lot.

Wish you all the best my friend :-)
