Manzana de la discordia
 

I looked it up, and the term means bone of contention, but someone told me it meant in demand. Does the term have two meanings?
By the way, the two people who tell me it means in demand are from Mexico. Is this a Mexico-only definition? I see no
reference to this meaning on line except in the ancient origin of the term.

Not at all. Actually, I have no idea who would understand "manzana de la discordia" as something that is sought after. :confused:

"Manzana de la discordia" is something that people argue about vehemently. It's the reason why people are fighting in some specific situation... thinking about it, maybe someone would interpret that something that people fight about should be something everyone wants, but I have never met anyone who would use the expression with this meaning.
