Ex Spanish teacher
Hi, I am glad to introduce myself to you all. I wish this site existed when I was teaching Spanish. (Maybe it did?) I retired 8 years ago as a secondary school Spanish teacher. This site seems to be such a great resource and I am impressed by the sincerity that I have seen so far. My name is David Larsen I am male, married with two children and seven ...no eight...grandchildren. I have lived in Argentina (2 and a half years) and Mexico (one month plus numerous trips there). My wife and I served 18 months as employment missionaries (running a small employment center) in South Texas (Harlingen, Brownsville area) where we got to use our Spanish all the time. I love the Spanish language and still spend time developing lessons mostly on PowerPoint.

Hello Vidottsen, and welcome to the forum. I saw you made some edits over at WikiSpanish-- presumably it's you, since the username is the same :) That's a project I've been working on for a few months and I haven't really gotten the nerve up to launch it, and link to it from here. I'll get to that pretty soon.
It's great to have a (ex) Spanish teacher here. I'm sure you can offer so good points of view on the things we discuss. And if you ever want to share a lesson you develop, that would be interesting too. I studied TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) some years back, so I'm interested in the teaching aspect as well. |
Welcome, i hope you're not offended by my poor knowledge of Spanish :)
