Spelling checker when writing a message
As I write words in English, some of them, although correctly spelt, are underlined in red. Sometimes the underline disappears, sometimes not. However, this doesn't happen when I do it in Spanish. So I think there must be a Spanish spelling checker "somewhere". Is it that true? Would it be possible to change to an English spelling checker?

Which application are you talking about? (What program are you using while typing?)

Sorry? I just type in Reply a Thread . I use Linux. From your answer I assume there is something in my computer that I have to change. I though if could be something that could be easily changed in the Forums, like the language.:(

What is your browser? The spell-checker is most likely an add-on to your browser. There is no spell-checker in the forums.
When you figure out what your spell-checker is, you can probably set it to the correct speller for your area (which looks like BrE, from the way you spelled things). |
I'd always seen the icon http://forums.tomisimo.org/images/editor/spelling.gif on top of message editor here in the forums, but never used it.
I just clicked on it and I get this message: Quote:

Downloading ieSpell is a way to get spell-checking. It's a free add-on to IE (Internet Explorer). It'll spell-check any text entered in any website, not just here in the forums. The OP has either downloaded this spell-checker, or he has another add-on.

I've got it :). I use Mozilla Firefox. My Mozilla is in Spanish and this must be the cause of the problem. I found a spelling checker (SpellBound) that can be installed as one of the Mozilla's complements. Then I can select BrE, AmE or even Australian English. And, for the moment, it works!

Great!

Thanks!
I mean thanks for the explanations, nor just for the "great". |
