You understand that this study is beneficial in that it....
I am currently translating a consent form, and the English version is a bit wordy. I have to translate "You understand that this study has benefits in that it will illuminate the lives and practices of Latino Protestant congregations."
My first instinct was to translate it like this: "Usted entiede que este estudio beneficia que iluminará las vidas y las prácticas de las congregaciones de los protestantes Latinos." I'm wondering if it makes sense in Spanish? Thanks! |
You're missing 'has benefits', which you translated as the verb 'benefits'.
You're missing the concept of 'in that it' in your translation. You misspelled the first verb. 'Latinos' should not be capitalized. |
