Morir de coraje

Hola a todo-as
I am translating a text ,where there is something not so clear.I hope somebody will help me :worried: clarify it.thank you in advance.
..."Pero..pudo ser que se haya muerto de coraje."

"Coraje" means not only courage, but also anger. Morirse de rabia, de ira o de coraje means that you have a lot of anger. Maybe this is a pun with the word "morir" with the sense of having a great feeling (you can also "morir de amor") and the word "morir" with the meaning of "dying".

:)

I agree with Irma. "Morir de (algo)" means that there is such a strong feeling, that one dies of it. And "coraje" means "anger".

agree. He died with anger inside. "murió de coraje"
other examples "murió de lástima, murió de añoranza, murió de pena, murió de rabia, murió de coraje..."
But "morir con coraje" means he/she died bravery"
Saludos :D

It can also be used in a figurative sense, so people don't necessarily die. In this case, the expression indicates a very intense feeling. :)
