Is this correct? Why not?
He was concealed in a tube of 40 centimiters of diameter.

He was concealed in a tube with a diameter of 40 centimeters.
He was concealed in a 40-centimeter-diameter tube.

Rusty is right. Another option:

He was concealed in a tube 40cm in diameter.
He was concealed in a tube that was 40cm in diameter.

The fun thing about language is there's almost always more than one way to phrase something!
