Shake up the party!

Hi again!

I want to say something like, "shake up your next party!" Is there a similar saying in Spanish?

Thanks for your help!

Hi, Etak86!

I am not totally sure what you mean in English. If the sense is something like "liven up the party" "warm up/get the party going", I would use something like "animar la fiesta". In Spain, more slangy, "darle marcha a la fiesta" "darle vida/vidilla a la fiesta"

If the sense is more like "to reorganize, to make reforms in" it would be just "reorganizar".

Sounds to me like you mean the first sense, so I would go with something like, ¡Dale marcha a la próxima fiesta! (or any of the bolded options above)... :)

@JPablo: I believe you guessed at the right meaning (there are a few ways to interpret the phrase, as you already know). That's the one I imagined she meant when I read the title.

@Rusty, thank you! :)

@Etak86, are we on the right track? :)

The way I would say let's get the party started would be vamos a
arrancar la fiesta. Does that sound like bad Spanish. :thinking:Arráncanos la fiesta. :thinking:Arránquemos la fiesta?

I know Spanish and I don't know Spanish at the same time. un-:cool:

Yes, Poli, you can say vamos a arrancar la fiesta. It doesn't sound bad to me... as long as the party really starts...

The other 2 options after the "thinking" process should be, Arrancamos la fiesta [we started the party] and Arranquemos la fiesta [let's start the party] :)

Thanks for the help, everyone!

@JPablo: You are exactly right in the interpretation. It would be something similar to "liven up the party" or "get the party going." So I believe any of these phrases you guys have supplied would work perfectly.

You're welcome, then... the party it's just started... let's shake it up... for real! :lol:

¡¡¡Fiesssssta!!! :D
