derroche (masculine noun (el)) — squandering, waste, extravagance, excess. Look up derroche in the dictionary

No podemos tolerar tal derroche.
We cannot tolerate such extravagance.

I think its main meaning is waste. It is an excess of anything that goes to waste.

Podría alguien explicarme ¿cuóndo se usa tan, tanto tanta, y cuándo se usa tal?

No podemos tolerar tal derroche de energía. - We cannot tolerate such waste of energy.

No podemos tolerar tanto derroche de energía - We cannot tolerate so much waste of energy.

These two have the same meaning in English, at least I see no difference.
