Angloamericano

This might belong in the area of Vocabulary but here goes. The term angloamericano has one more syllable than estadounidense but could it be more useful than norteamericano for distinguishing the US from Mexico - which in terms of hemispheres is just as North American as is the US?

"Angloamericano" could serve to designate people whose mother tongue is English and, simultaneously, live in North America. It includes Canada...

Good bye!

If you're trying to distinguish people from the USA from other people living in North America, or in the Americas for that matter, that discussion has been had before.

Why only North America? There are countries where English is an official language and common mother tongue in Central America (Belize) and South America (Guyana).

Sorry to duplicate; I just searched that one word and came up dry but should have looked further before posting
