Cojundongo / Cojondongo
I was told that `cojondongo´ is a meal well known in the Extremadura state of Spain.
I´m still wondering what it is.:confused: Any ideas:?: Cuales son las comidas conocidos que sabeis? Me encanta el Cocido Madrileño y la Mozila de Burgos(no sé si se escribe asi), tambien algunas comidas Mexicana pero no me acuerdo como se llaman. |

I have never heard that word (cojun...).
The right spelling is morcilla:it's my son's favourite dish. Typical too are paella and gazpacho. Paella is a rice dish and gazpacho is a delicious cold tomato soup. |

Hay albóndigas de Córdoba hecho de bacalao que me gustan, pero nunca los vi afuera de Córdoba. Tambien me gustan pimientos padrón y un buen tortel hecho fresco.
Vi una receta de torta de bellotas que estaba incluido con la receta para cojondongo . Nunca sabia que las bellotas eran comestibles. Siempre pensaba que la bellota fuera una delícia para las ardillas y cerdos nada más. |

Paprika is pimentón. (sweet chilli/chile powder). Over here pimientos piquillos are unavailable fresh, but you can find them canned or in jars in specialty food stores. Sometimes you can find them in Spanish restaurants usually stuffed with bacalao and, at the restaurant where I had it, not as good as they are in Spain. |

Yes stuffed peppers. Stuffed peppers American style consists of big green
bell peppers stuffed with chopped meat(never fish) and baked in an oven with thin tomato sauce sometimes sweetened with sugar and/or raisins. Poli |

Aquí hay unos sitios proprietarios italianos que hacen algo parecido. Siempre lo sirven en un bocadillo--pepper and egg sandwich. No sé si lleva
jamón. Yo mismo preparo un revuelo de pimientos bien salteados hasta que se ponen suaves con pescado ahumado |

Conozco una fona mexicana donde hacen un revuelto de huevos, frito con papas y jalapeños. Al lado frijoles refritos, tortillas de maiz, una rebanada
de aguacate, tapada con queso cotija. Después de comer ese desayuno no hay necesidad comer almorzar. |

David, you must know the place. :D They've got a great rockola and a representation of La Virgen de Guadalupe made of corn husks. The non-english-speaking waitress asked me if I was from Spain! She was serious. :eek:

PD: "mi no entiende" is not a well made phrase. The correct one is "No te entiendo"/"No comprendo nada". "Mi no entiende" is a typicall tourist phrase, literall from "I don't understand" |
