The third error can be fixed one of two different ways. In order of preference:
1) You originally had convertirse triste (correctly conjugated, by the way), but the usage was wrong. Convertirse means 'to become' or 'to turn into', usually conveying the idea of a permanent change, like when a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. The phrase to use is ponerse triste.
2) Fue is the 3rd-person singular preterite form of ser. You, the speaker, should be using a 1st-person construct. There is a lot of difference between ser triste and estar triste. Look here for help with the differences between ser and estar. Then decide whether to use the imperfect or preterite tense.

Instead of poner, you either need to say poner de nuevo or use volver ('return'). You had devolver, which means 'give something back'.
