How to say 'I miss a place'.. 'Me extraño ...' or 'Me extraño a ...'?

Hi all,

The title says it all, I am not sure whether to use 'a' or not when saying I miss a place. I know to use reflexive forms when talking about a person 'Te extraño' or 'Ella se extraño', but I don't know how to say I miss a place...

I want to say: 'I miss San Cristóbal'

My guesses are: 'Me extraño a San Cristóbal'
or: 'Me extraño San Cristóbal'

I am having difficulty figuring out the answer, I am sure a native speaker would just know :-)

Thanks!

Mike

"Extraño San Cristóbal".

The general form for missing a place is "extrañar un lugar" and for a person it's "extrañar a alguien".

Nada de "me".
No "me" when it is place or thing.
I miss the mountains-- Extraño las montañas, pelao.

Te extraño-- means "I miss you".
Lo extraño--I miss him.
La extraño--I miss her.
Los extraño... I miss them... etc.
