Granito de la encimera
¿Cómo se dice en inglés británico el granito de la encimera? Sé que encimera es hob (bueno, creo), pero no sé muy bien si falta algo. ¿Granite hob? Me refiero a esto:

It's not a hob, because the hob is the hot bit, either gas or electricity. That is a granite worktop. :)

countertop (AmE) = worktop (BrE)
If the granite slab is part of the stove itself, its called a 'stove top' in American English. This, I think, is the equivalent of a hob (BrE), which is described as a shelf behind or near the stove/fireplace where items are stored to keep warm/hot. |
In USA it's granite counter top.

Stove=estufa
hearth=fogón |
En España "stove" es "fogón", pero en otros sitios hispanohablantes llaman "estufa" a lo que nosotros llamamos "fogón"...
En España, "hearth" es "hogar" o "chimenea"... Quería aportar mi granito de arena... pero tampoco quería ensuciar la encimera... |
