hello there! studying for the diploma , there are options to choose. please help!

Nunca en mi vida ______ tanto como este mes. El viernes ya no
podía más, me metí en la cama y _____ toda la tarde.
a) he trabajado...estaba durmiendo b) he trabajado...estuve

I had a doubt because we speak in a different way may times. Don't worry, I do a lot of mistakes, too. ;)

Anyway it would be better to separate the sentences when making a question, so it is easier to see the possible solutions. :)
