Help with all capital in Spanish
Do you omit accents when all letters are capitalized?
|
No, you should never omit an accent mark. It doesn't matter if all letters are capitalized or not.
You'll see, however, that people do omit them. They even omit an accent mark on a capitalized first letter (when required). Be certain to learn proper accentuation and use it, even though some may omit accent marks out of laziness or ignorance. |
Long ago, before computers existed, it was a type-writer standard to avoid accents on capital letters, because it was technically not possible to type it. So many people still believe this is an orthographic rule, but as Rusty said, it isn't. :)
