make-up
Hello! I'm looking for the direct translation of the word make-up as in "I have to make-up an assignment that was due yesterday". If anyone out there knows please thank you for sharing.

Re: make-up
makeup:
an event that is substituted for a previously cancelled event; "he missed the test and had to take a makeup"; "the two teams played a makeup one week later" Try with "aplazar".
Re: make-up
"To make up" has quite a few different meanings, but in the sense that you're asking, I'd say the best translations would be:
reponer, compensar, completar, entregar o simplemente hacer. I have to make-up an assignment that was due yesterday. <= I have to finish the assignment Tengo que hacer una tarea que debía entregar ayer. <= I have to make up the assignment Tengo que volver a hacer una tarea que debía entregar ayer. <= I have to redo/rewrite the assignment Does that help? |
