Le respondo
Hi, im reading a storing and it uses “le respondo” for “he replied”
Im confused at the use of respondo, which i thought was the yo form. Can anyone shed any light? |
It looks like a typo to me, if it's supposed to mean 'he replied to him'. It should be 'le respondió'.
You may want to provide the sentence, in context, if you doubt there's a typo. |
I agree with Rusty. Can you post the whole sentence?

Thanks, i think you’re correct its a typo:
The sentence from memory, im not with the story right now was” “Buenos dias señor” - le respondo. Or maybe its my fault, and it is infact the story teller who responded to him! Either way, thanks! |
It is possible to narrate a story in the present tense and in first person. If that's the case here, no typo occurred.
