"Créditos universitarios" se entiende en México como horas de clase por materia, siempre que el contexto no sea financiamiento y becas, en cuyo caso se trata de créditos financieros, para pagar colegiaturas. :)

créditos, créditos universitarios ó créditos de la universidad.
I suppose you're speaking about the number of hours an academic subjet has.
