At times they seem to refer to the same meaning in "time it takes to do or complete" an action.

I had a Spanish lesson yesterday. My teacher is a native speaker from Argentina.

The topic of burning out - as in to burn out on a job came up and she did know of a Spanish idiom or equivalent.

Is it commonly used in spoken language / communication?

Moreso in writing?

I'm aware of the general rule but I was watching "Espanol con Juan" on YT and he noted an exception.

Just the two infinitive with 'ser' in between make me curious.

I don't hear or see this often.

infinitive + ser + infinitive.

"travel is work" meaning it is a form of working when you're traveling. You can't totally relax if your on the road / moving...
