You're right. "Tronada" is a perfect translation (It will be added to the DRAE next edition, 23rd). But I have to say I've never heard or used it.

Usually "pegao" and "de lao" are slang simplifications of "pegado" and "de lado". The meaning can vary a lot depending on context.

It's frequent that a English gerund becomes a Spanish participle, but in this case I agree with you as "agua hervida" can be cold and still be "agua hervida".

I just found "tique" is correct (although I've never heard it used):



Also, certain uses (like "parking ticket") have their specific words ("multa (de aparcamiento)")

"Boletos" sounds american Spanish. Here in Spain it would be "entrada/s".
