There is wisdom here. Hens have evolved from other birds, and before that from reptiles, all of which laid eggs. Therefore
eggs came long before chickens QED.
(In more modern terms we can say that chickens are merely a means of propagating a particularly successful strain of DNA, which is passed on wrapped in an egg.) I will not even attempt to write this in Spanish!!
