If by "our language" you mean English, than not only is it not derived from Spanish (it's derived from a language known as Proto-Germanic that was spoken over a thousand years ago), it also has received little influence from Spanish. The vast majority of the words that look similar in English and Spanish are because English borrowed them from Norman French around 1066-1200 or so, as well as the words that English has borrowed directly from Classical Latin (the language of the Romans.) For instance -tion words are either from Norman French or from Latin: information which resembles Spanish informaciĆ³n comes either from French or Latin. Spanish seemingly has a lot of words in common with English because Spanish is derived from Latin, as well as being closely related to French, and English borrowed heavily from both of those languages. Recently English has borrowed some words from Spanish such as sombrero, but relatively speaking it is a very small amount compared to the total vocabulary of English.
