I never liked animals when I was growing up, but now that I am older I see great value in their friendship. They are friendly, helpless little creatures and can you give much, much satisfaction in having them around. I have 1 chihuahua, 1 "ratonero" which is a chihuahua/terrier mix, and two monk parrots. I also have bird feeders around my house for the "colibri". I have no cats because I like birds around my house and obviously the cats would eat them. I love to see my pine trees with bird perched on them. I guess I am a "tree hugger"
since I planted about 30 pine trees around my property, besides a mandarin orange and a peach tree, 5 bougenvillias. No room for me and my husband any more.
