True Poli. But in this case, "pasar" introduces an ambiguity in the meaning, since we also use it for something that is over; so if you say "espero que pase pronto", most people would believe you're expecting something to
end soon (like "I hope it passes quickly"). That's why "ocurrir", "suceder", "acontecer" (much more formal), are better choices.
