The play on words certainly isn't going to translate well.
By the way, 'lightning bug' isn't universally understood. The more common word for the insect is 'firefly'.
A propósito, 'una huelga relámpago' no es tan común como 'un rayo'.
Your new choice of words improves on the translation, but I would go for 'chispa' instead of 'lámpara'.
