Another way to say this is 'recogerle a alguien en un lugar'. (Notice the different prepositions - 'buscar a' and 'recoger en'.)
The addition of 'pasar a' establishes a directional sense to the statement.
You'll also hear 'ir a' or 'venir a', the direction of travel depending on who's speaking.
Since your speaker substituted 'por aquí' (around here) for the place, it's obvious that the two involved in the conversation are at the rendezvous (or very near to it).
