I'm not sure "-ripiente" is Spanish.
There is -
ante (for verbs ending with -
ar) and -
ente/-
iente (for verbs ending with -
er and -
ir), like in:
- cant
ar -> cant
ante
- atac
ar -> atac
ante
- irrit
ar -> irrit
ante
- demand
ar -> demand
ante
- emerg
er -> emerg
ente
- exced
er -> exced
ente
- repel
er -> repel
ente
- depend
er -> depend
iente
- adher
ir -> adher
ente
- viv
ir -> viv
iente
- sal
ir -> sal
iente
- constitu
ir -> constitu
yente
Not every verb takes the suffix, and there are other cases where the suffix is present but I'm not sure about the root, like in: latente, expectante, excelente, maloliente, decadente...
Finally, I think the word you're looking for with "horror" is "horripil
ante". According to the
DRAE, it comes from the verb "horripil
ar", which I've never found conjugated, by the way.
