Probably you are totally right, but everything flows, and many of the American words the Panhispánico de Dudas recommends one way, to keep somewhat the "purity" of the Spanish, in less than a century, if not a decade, will be so broadly used "inside the bounds" or "boundaries" of the Spanish, that will be part of our language...

"Vagón" in the 1800s was a British term... now is as Spanish as it comes... "Thriller" is an Americanism, for "novela de suspense" or "novela de suspenso", but, we will be saying "zriler" (we actually already said "zriler" in the 70s...,)

Latino, was once confined to a little region in Italy... now is all over the place...

We can put boundaries, and recognize them... Unlike Explorator I am not bothered by the "names", although I probably agree with him in the matter of putting the right labels to the right "objects", but one has to recognize that objects change, and so do labels.

As long as we can agree on what label is for what object, the communication will be easier.

As long as we are able to recognize what is already happening, and understand why, we will be able to communicate.

When the monks at Silos wrote their "Glosas silenses" in "Romance" of course their "Spanish" was not standard, but was what the people were using and understanding, the Vulgar Latin or the Classic Latin, was not understood, so explanations were needed in a language that anybody could understand...

At this stage of this planet, in this Global Hamlet, it will be easier to keep the languages more stable, but there is going to be evolution, or a corruption, if you wish, whether we like it or not...
