Is thinking on used in Britain?

I've never heard it - only ever "Thinking about" and "Thinking of". "Thinking on" would be regarded as idiosyncratic in Britain I'd say, and to the purists - wrong!
I really must try to improve my English - mind you I've only been learning it for seventy years! You can't be expected to pick it up all at once, can you?
